Getting
Started
Let's get you started in the right direction. We've
provided links to useful resources for the beginning RVer
here.
Repairs
and Maintenance
Maintaining your RV is
important but not necessarily difficult. As with any vehicle, or
even your home, some maintenance is required.
The
situation may arise where your RV needs repairs. Such
repairs can become quite costly. We've listed some
useful resources here. If you're not the do-it-yourself
type, we strongly recommend obtaining some protection for
yourself, such as Good Sam's Continued Service Plan.
Our recommendations include:
Finding
a Campground
Ready to
head out for some camping? We recommend getting yourself
a good campground directory. Don't let a sub-par
campground ruin your weekend! Check it out before you
even load up the RV.
If you're
traveling extensively, a campground directory can be a life
safer! We've been able to find some great parks while on
the road thanks to keeping such a directory handy. Don't
get caught hunting down a campground when you're been on the
road all day.
Travel
Once you're on the
road, having some resources at your disposal can be a real asset.
Don't miss out on a local hot spot, or that tourist trap that turns out
to be a lot of fun.
We've
provided some links to books that can be very useful once you're on the
road and traveling the country.
Working
on the Road
There's a lot of RVers
out there who are looking to supplement their income by traveling the
country and working at the same time. Here are some useful
resources to get you started in that direction.
Fulltiming
So many RVers out
there are calling their recreational vehicle home. More and more,
retirees and traveling workers are finding that life in an RV can't be
beat. We've listed some material for this group of lucky folks as
well.
